THWAK. THWAK. THWAK. Each knife went unerringly into the raccoon Leo had impaled to the wall by it’s shoulders. It’s squeals of pain were surprisingly human. They made Wade think of a small child in pain.

“New hobby?” He shoved his hands in his pockets, trying not to look uncomfortable.

“Yep.” THWAK. Wade suspected he was intentionally not killing it quickly.

“Why?”

“Because I’m bored. And I’m good at it. What are you good at?”

“I could do that.”

Leo offered a knife. Wade took it and looked at it. He’d never killed before. Now he killed quickly. Leo frowned.

Thank you!!! It may just be the newness inspiration. We shall see if I can carry it through! I've got a few more in this plotline, I think, but for tonight I may leave it on the last one's cliffhanger.

If you want a mind-twister, Leo grows up to be Bullseye. I have an idea for who I'd like Jennie to grow up to be, but I need to ask someone's blessing for that. I'd very much understand if I got no blessing, but if I did... :)

And the best part? Deadpool doesn't accurately remember it, or he represses it SO HARD that it's the same difference. So in the present day, he has no clue. Or he runs from that clue. And yet this is the stuff that shapes pretty much everything he's done for decades.
